How to solve error ‘10061’ when sending emails using SMTP

If you sending an email from SMTP server get the following error:

WinSock Error. cmd: CONNECT, socket error  code: 10061, spcket error info: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

It mostly caused by the Mcafee.

Solution:

  1. Open  Mcafee VirusScan Console
  2. Open ‘Access Protection’ property, uncheck ‘Prevent mass mailing worms from sending mail’.
  3. Resend mails using SMTP
